The client and issue
TROX is a leader in the development, manufacturing, and sale of components, appliances, and systems for indoor air conditioning and ventilation. Their Asia-Pacific office wanted to one-up their competitors at the China Refrigeration Expo with a new and exciting way of presenting their key products.
They wanted an application with which their sales team could present their product UPSs in a modern and tangible way to their potential customers.
The solution
MRstudios created and Augmented Reality (AR) app that places 3D real-time models of TROX’ key products within the user’s immediate environment. This gives it an element of realism, as if the client is observing the TROX air handling unit in real-life without the company having to go through the logistical nightmare of transporting huge air handling units to the exhibition grounds.
Endless possibilities and functions
Overlaying digital elements using AR technology makes the invisible, visible. Airflow and real-time data of an air handling unit cannot be seen in real life, much less at an exhibition, where the units are not actually in use. But with AR, this is not the case. Anything is possible!
Users can explore specific functions of the units at their own pace, and even look into the finer details by activating different views, including an X-Ray view, exploded view, and indoor/outdoor versions of the unit.
Beneficial for customer and seller
The interactive and realistic nature of the app, enhanced by data, helps clients make better informed and more confident decisions, and help salespeople do their jobs better.
The only thing you need for the app is a touchscreen device with a camera, making it super accessible to anyone in the company who might need it.
